FAMILY / RELATIONSHIP COUNSELLING

​

We support people find a way through any difficulties they may be facing in their relationships. Encourage everyone who comes to have their say and to share their feelings, plus what you’d like to change. We will help you to build stronger relationships between each member of the family and assist you to work together to reduce conflict and arguments and grow stronger as a result. 

                                                                                                                                        

ADDICTION COUNSELLING

​

We assist you to know how to address the symptoms of addiction whether it's Alcohol / Drugs or Gambling.  Together we will explore your problems in order to gain greater understanding of them and of yourself. You will then look at what you want to change and what you need to do to make that change through the awareness of the content and structure of on-going recovery.

 

ADOLESCENT COUNSELLING

 

We will Help children and young people (12 yrs upwards) cope with their emotions and challenges they are experiencing as a result they can overcome the consequences of their problems and have increased skills to help them cope with the transitions in their life.

 

TRAUMA COUNSELLING

 

We can assist you in identifying and coming to terms with the feelings and emotions you may feel during and after a traumatic experience. Assist you to explore your trauma while feeling safe, listened to and held, aiding you to gain increased personal insight, self-confidence, plus recognise your resources, skills and the ability to make informed decisions to start to work through your experiences.

 

STRESS

We can assist you understand any underlying issues that may be causing you stress. We can work together to recognise personal stress triggers and discuss ways of coping with them. We can help you explore what you are feeling and why, so that you can take steps to overcome your stress. you can offload to and be totally honest, we will not judge you.

 

WORKPLACE STRESS

 

(EAP) Employee counselling gives individuals a valuable opportunity to work through problems and stresses in a strictly confidential and supportive atmosphere. Individuals are also motivated to understand and realise their own career potential, thus maximising the chances of functioning at their best.

ANGER MANAGEMENT

​

We can help the process of learning to recognise signs that you are becoming angry, and taking action to calm down and deal with the situation in a positive way. We can help you recognize and avoid the triggers that make you angry. We can also provide ways to help you manage the inevitable anger that sometimes flares without warning. explore how your experiences of anger were helpful or harmful, both in the short-term and in the long-term. We also help you learn to resolve conflicts in a more constructive way. 

 

DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY

We can help you work out where your negative feelings and ideas come from, explore the effect they have on your behaviour and mood, understand how to deal with them, and make positive changes in your life by thinking or acting differently.

ABUSE (PAST AND/OR PRESENT)

Counselling will offer you the chance to talk face-to-face in a safe, non-judgemental environment. We aim to help you come to terms with your emotional / physical / domestic / sexual / financial / substance and alcohol abuse issues and realise your ability to take control of your life so that you feel more empowered and freer to live your life.

BEREAVEMENT, LOSS AND SEPARATION / DIVORCE.

We can Support individuals following the death of a loved one, or who have experienced major life changes such as relationships, separation / divorce bereavement that trigger feelings of grief. Assist clients to process their feelings, put you more in touch with your emotions, thoughts, and feelings which will transfer into many other parts of your life to begin the healing process.

SELF-HARM

​

You will be supported in an empathetic, caring and non-judgemental atmosphere as you talk through your problems, and establish what is at the heart of your need to self-harm so that you can discover your inner strengths and draw on your own resources to manage your emotional pain and face any future situations in a constructive way. Help you identify unhealthy, negative beliefs and behaviours and replace them with healthy, adaptive ones. 

 

SUICIDAL IDEATION

 

Suicidal thoughts can be very frightening and sometimes suicide feels like the only way to get away from those overwhelmingly dark feelings. We offer you the chance to talk face-to-face in a safe, non-judgemental environment. We can support you to address the factors that led to suicidal thoughts, and create a strategy that includes coping mechanisms and methods to address suicidal thoughts in the event that they return. We can help you to come to terms with them and help you to recognise that your life is worth living.

  

BULLYING

 

We can support you to talk about the bullying / harassment, in a safe and supportive environment. We can help you think clearly about what is or has happened, ether at home or in the workplace. We can assist you to understand what has happened, work out what boundaries you need which will help you to recover your confidence and self-esteem.
